We have learned - concerning our projects topic - that word and political cartoon might be stronger than baton charge, tanks, guns or torture prison. We have learned that democracy is no gift, which is caring about itself. Democracy needs permanent attention of all those humans, who like to live in that system of government. Also nowadays democracy - as our preferred system of government - is not only outside Europe vulnerable. And not all systems, who labelled themselves as democracy, content democracy; Germans know this from younger History of the GDR. That “German Democratic Republique” was a communistical influenced branch of the dictatorial Soviet Union and the statesmen were puppets on strings.

als Meilenstein der jüngeren Geschichte Polens! Befreiung von kommunistischer Diktatur Architektonisch einfühlsam und gleichwohl kraftvoll gestaltete Gebäude - ähnlich Schiffsbauten auf dem Werftgelände - bieten eine Ausstellung, die durch ihre Ganzheitlichkeit die Besucher in den Bann der historischen Ereignisse zieht. Frau Elwira Marciniak focussierte uns auf die Kernpunkte der Ausstellung. Vertrautes Vokabular in klar artikulierter Sprache und profunde Kenntnis der Stadtgeschichte sind ihr TRICITY-TOURS-Markenzeichen. Menschen - Greise, Erwachsene und Jugendliche im Alter unserer Gruppe - haben damals , 1980 - 1989, Leib und Leben eingesetzt, um Polen Freiheit zu schenken. Wir haben unter engem Bezug auf unser Projektthema gelernt, dass Wort und Karikatur stärker sein können als Schlagstockeinsatz, Panzerfahrzeuge, Gewehre oder Folterzelle. Wir haben gelernt, dass Demokratie kein Geschenk ist, das sich selbst pflegt, sondern permanter Wachsamkeit aller Staatsbürger/innen bedarf, die in ihr leben möchten. Auch heute ist Demokratie als die von uns bevorzugte Staatsform nicht nur außerhalb Europas gefährdet. Und nicht überall, wo Demokratie draufsteht, ist auch Demokratie drin; das wissen die Deutschen bereits aus den Jahren der DDR. Die sogenannte Deutsche Demokratische Republik war ein Ableger der diktatorisch regierten Sowjetunion und deren Staatsführer Marionetten.
